Your data
Privacy notice
Last updated 22 September 2026
This notice explains how Pacestra handles information when you use the desktop app, website, account registration and online collaboration features.
What we collect
When you register, we process your email address, organisation name, system timezone, consent versions and consent time. Authentication records are handled by Supabase so we can send and verify one-time sign-in codes and keep your account secure.
If you contact us or report a bug, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, app version, device details and troubleshooting notes.
What stays on your device
Programmes, timers, templates, quiz content, activity history, report data, organisation branding and most settings are stored locally. They leave the device only when you deliberately use an online feature, export a file or share information.
Crash diagnostics are privacy-filtered and kept locally. Pacestra does not upload crash reports automatically.
Online collaboration
Collaboration rooms process the room state, role links and messages needed to synchronise participants. Rooms are held in server memory, expire after 12 hours and may disappear sooner if the relay restarts. Role links act like passwords.
Why we use information
- To create and secure your account.
- To provide requested collaboration and room features.
- To respond to licence and bug-report requests.
- To protect Pacestra from misuse and improve reliability.
Service providers and transfers
We use Supabase for authentication, Resend for account email and Render for the collaboration relay. These providers may process data outside the United Kingdom under their own safeguards.
Retention and your choices
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app data. Account records are retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed for security or legal obligations. You may use offline mode without an account and may ask to access, correct or delete account information, subject to applicable law.
